my gal got her RCI 2970N2 from G I Joe's a while back... only issue we had with them was their balking to sell a radio without their bread and butter tuneup/mods. when she ordered it, the next day she got a email saying they were out of stock and would be a little bit b4 they could ship one. she told them she wasnt going to wait very long b4 she cancelled the order. they had it drop shipped from their distributor.

if that wasnt bad enough, the unmodified RCI was cranked up too high out of the box and the amp's mosfets were biased too high and the radio came apart within a few days. it went in under warranty to Radio Shop Supply.

"drop shipped from their distributor"

That's the way a lot of the internet store fronts operate.  They don't have any inventory, they order when you order.

Top Gun, or what ever they call it, is over rated in MPO.

Just needs the conversion. Tweaking is nothing but a money maker for them. Magnums sound pretty darn good right out of the box.
