Everyone knows about the Antron 99 antenna, but what about the very similar Proton 99?

Our local radio shop ran a PT99 on the roof and before then I had never even known about the PT99, part of the reason why I'm doing this poll.

He performed just as well as anyone I've known to use the A-99 and the only differeance I can see really is that one is 3 section and the other is 4 section?

What is the price difference? A brand new A-99 can be had for $50.00 plus shipping, and for what its worth it does the job. I have seen the Proton before, but cant recall its price. I guess if they are similar in design then you can expect performance to be similar, although nobody around here has one, and I have 1 old Antron 99, and also have a new solarcon A-99, which are the same besides the age difference. I put up a Maco V-58 this past summer, and I am happy with it, but the A-99 did just as well in my opinion, and I didnt have to worry about it when the wind gets strong. An A-99 is built cheap, but they are reliable and strong.

Shipping the PT-99 is a lot cheaper because of the 4-section design... It doesn't get labeled / charged as an oversize package.  Price is about the same as an A99 otherwise.  I've never personally used the PT-99, but everyone that has bought one from me has been satisfied.
