Hi,

I wanted to share pictures of my antenna system on my Kia Rhondo.  The antenna system was manufactured by SGC in Washington state.  It is called the QMS (Quick Mount System).  SGC has desiged and manufactured antennas for the military for years.  My antenna system would not look out of place strapped to a Hummer, Jeep or Military Truck.  This is the civilian model but is made to the government specifications.

The antenna matcher is housed inside the box on the top of the car.  When you transmit it detects your frequency and matches the 9 foot antenna to that frequency.  It will match the antenna to any frequency from about 1.5 Mhz to 30 Mhz.  That means I can use it for my HF radio and also my CB radio.  It will handle up to 200 Watts with the set up I have, but with a different tuner the antenna will handle 500 Watts.

I hope you enjoy the pictures.

Looks like a good setup. I have the same car and have been looking for something similar to this.

Now, if we could only figure out a way to mount this 'monstrosity' to a truck...might snag hydro lines tho...

Might give a new meaning to "fire in the wire".

Ah, cool. What kind of SWRs do you get with that?
